Dear Friends,
We are all searching for the Light. That Glow that will guide us to true happiness. To that place where we feel as good as we have ever felt all of the time. We are all searching for the Light. That Glow that will guide us to true happiness. To that place where we feel as good as we have ever felt all of the time. A place of compassion, a place of humility, a place of simplicity, a place of quiet, a place of knowledge and a place where we can move toward the next step in our evolution which is to train our subconscious to automatically react as
spiritual beings rather than members of the animal kingdom.
This is a place to share what you have learned about this journey. There are many avenues that lead to the Light because there are many, many who have attained the Light. Share here so that we might all move humanity along the road of this metamorphisis.
I would offer this meditation for the day. God is omnipotent so encompassing all that is good and all that is evil. Jesus is first among the many manifestations of God's Goodness. The teachings of Jesus and Mohammad and Krishna and Buddha are all designed to light up the path to the happiness that awaits us when we are in communion with God. Seek God through those blessed to be manifestations of divine love
ReplyDeleteThere is great silence in the Light. A path to the Light must include quiet. This quiet is both external and internal with quieting the external much easier than silencing the internal. It takes practice. The center of this practice is a mantra and a vizualization. A mantra is a repeated phrase said over and over in the mind and the vizualization is a static picture of something wonderful that reminds you of your goal - the Light.
ReplyDeleteCompassion is an accelerant on the road to the Light. Compassion is rarely a natural animal instinct. Compassion exemplifies an other centeredness that remains one of the basic metamorphic ingredients. A subconscious capable of autocompassion is a key mile stone of the journey to the Light.
ReplyDeleteLike compassion, humility is a key component to deciphering the road map to the Light. Our humbleness helps us step out of the way so that anyone taking notice of our compassion can see that we are not the source of the Light but rather we are conduits of Light as we seek to amplify the Light so that others can see It, expand their understanding of It and continue their journey out of darkness and move on toward the Light.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Light? Sometimes It lights up the darkness when your eyes are closed at night. Sometimes you catch It out of the corner of your eye during the day. You often feel It in your heart but don't always recognize what It is, It just feels so good. It strikes in moments of selflessness, in moments of forgiveness, It comes during compassion and often follows acts of humility. Realize It and practice It and cherish It. Share It with others and be a Light in their life.
ReplyDeleteSeriously seeking the Light must include conscious time practicing. Finding the Path rarely happens by accident. Each seeker must configure their own modus operandi. For me, the best time is first thing in the morning before the hecticness of the day descends. Just before dawn is ideal as it allows you to welcome the Light of day. I hope to spend at least an hour. Starting with stretching gives way to quiet chanting of your mantra then settling down for continued chanting and listening. Quiet background music is good and Spirit Come by Grace Williams or any of the scripture meditations of John Michael Talbot. From here there is an easy transition into prayer. First a prayer of recognition – praising God for your enlightenment. Then a prayer of thanksgiving – for the gift of a new day. A prayer for loved ones, a prayer for guidance, a prayer for those who might have harmed you and a prayer for peace. No particular order and no limit on the number of prayers. I try to avoid prayers of petition since “… your Father knows what you need before you ask” – Matthew 6:8. If possible, as you finalize your connection with God for the day, sing out loud a mighty ALLELUIA so the whole world knows you are a Seeker and you are continuing your journey, this day, toward the Light.
ReplyDeleteDo not fear if you see the Light when your eyes are closed at night. The Light often illuminates our other consciousness. Bask in It, beckon It, whisper to It, and smile at the Grace of IT.
ReplyDeleteThere are times when the Darkness obscures the path to the Light. While there is a glimmer in the distance, the warmth and clarity of the Light is not reachable. Perseverance in essential. More quiet time, more chanting, better breathing, more focus on diet, stretching and rest. With patience, one day, you will bask in the Light again!
